Alvino Rey is, rather famously, Win and Will Butler of The Arcade Fire's grandfather - there's an uncanny resemblance, too.

"Playing Around the Corners"

the dynamic life of Hal McKusick as a legendary musician, teacher, woods craftsman, pilot and a jazz griot whose stories embody the atmosphere of 20th century jazz. Hal McKusick is a a world renowned musician who has worked with the big bands of Les Brown, Woody Herman, Boyd Raeburn,
Alvino Rey, Buddy Rich, and Claude Thornhill. Hal has also made musical contributions as a studio musician, recording as a leader for Jubilee, Bethlehem, Victor, Coral, New Jazz, Prestige, and Decca. Pete Drake: SHO-BUD interview + PEDAL STEEL CV Session Work including (Roger Miller - Anita Kerr - Skeeter Davis - JERRY LEE LEWIS - et. al.)

Together with Buddy Emmons, Dobro-player Shot Jackson revolutionized the country music world with their development of the "Sho-Bud" Pedal Steel Guitar. Later, even while performing on the Grand Ole Opry and touring with Roy Acuff, Jackson established a guitar store on Broadway in downtown Nashville.

4) Paradise

1) Forever by the Little Dippers. 1960 #9.
2) Guitar Country - flip of 3. with Chet Atkins.
3) Waiting For the Evening Train - 1963 RCA single.

Anita Kerr and her Singers were used as backup on the Decca label from 1951 to 1960. From 1960 to 1966 it was tha RCA label and the heyday of the Nashville Sound, of which they were an integral part. Here they numbered four and were named The Anita Kerr Quartet. Later they moved to other labels like Dot. In 1960 the quartet recorded some singles on the University label, using the name The Little Dippers for contract reasons. They had a hit with a vocal of "Forever". But the label apparently used a different quartet for touring shows and for the record cover. And apparently before they finished on Decca they rerecorded Forever there for an album under their own name. If so, that would be the LP "For You, For Me, Forevermore".

Pete Drake later made an instrumental hit of Forever, probably using the good old AK Quartet as backup there too.
