A science fiction vampire movie. The Vampire is an emissary from an embattled world near destruction who teleports to Earth to see if they can live here. He finds that our blood is nourishing and that at least one source of it is a steady stream of transfusions. He hypnotizes a Dr. to provide them and has his blond nurse move in to administer them.
"Any unauthorized exhibition, distribution or copying of this film or any
part thereof (including soundtrack) is an infringement of the relevant

prosecution... not to mention a one-way ticket to Davanna."
A mysterious stranger known only as Mr. Johnson turns up and demands a blood transfusion. Dr. Rochelle grants him the blood, and sends his nurse Nadine Story to stay with him, in order for him to get his daily transfusion. Dr. Rochelle becomes interested in Mr. Johnson's blood, especially when it turns out to be nothing like normal human blood. It gets even weirder, when Mr. Johnsons servant, Jeremy notices people entering the house and not leaving. Nadine decides that she must search the house in order to find out the truth about Mr. Johnson.

A nurse is assigned to help a strange man requiring regular blood transfusions at his home. He is really an alien checking out humans for harvesting their blood, since his race is dying out because of intergalactic nuclear wars. An assistant joins him as the final studies of blood are being completed, but the nurse, her boyfriend, and a local doctor begin figuring it out and resistThe opening credits feature a montage of clips from various other Roger Corman movies, including Battle Beyond the Stars (1980), Forbidden World (1982), Galaxy of Terror (1981), Humanoids from the Deep (1980), Battle Beyond the Sun (1960) and Piranha (1978). Sample footage from each of these movies appears numerous times throughout the movie as filler footage, as well as two full-length scenes from Hollywood Boulevard (1976) and "Humanoids from the Deep".
Director Jim Wynorski made a bet with Roger Corman that he could shoot the movie in twelve days. Wynorski finished the film in eleven and a half days.
Becky LeBeau's scream was done by Michelle Bauer.
Angel Tompkins did the voice of Rebecca Perle's Davanna Girl character.
Three frat boys sneak into the Tri-Delt sorority to witness the initiation of new pledges and are caught. The pledges must go to the local bowling lane and steal a trophy, aided by the unwanted frat boys. An accident causes the trophy to break, releasing an evil imp who then begins wreaking havoc with the teens, who begin suffering an attrition problem.
In Static-X's song "I'm With Stupid", Linnea Quigley's line from the movie "Yeah, it was...very stupid." is sampled.
Jeremy: [looking at a reflection of Nadine changing] That's a nice little mole you have on your left cheek.
The janitor tells a story about a man named Dave McCabe. This was director David DeCoteau's alternate name when he directed adult films.

- J'ai adoré ! Encore une fois ROBERT DE NIRO est au top, il joue a merveille son role de comédien raté et déséquilibré pret a tout pour arrivé au succé, il creuve littérallement l'écran ! Une réalisation soigné signé MONSIEUR SCORCESE peu connu mais qui pourtant est l'un de ses meilleurs films pour moi. Jerry Lewis n'est pas mauvais également dans son role de présentateur tv antipathiques certainement a l'origine du malaise de Rupert Pupkin !

For filming the scene where Rupert Pupkin (Robert De Niro ) gets into the house of Jerry Langford ( Jerry Lewis ), Robert De Niro remarks anti-Semitic uttered for angry Jerry Lewis who, unaccustomed to the "method" seems to end really angry on screen. In the scene where Robert De Niro and Sandra Bernhard are fighting in the street, people around them watch, amused. Among them, one can see Mick Jones , Joe Strummer and Paul Simonon , members of British band The Clash , and Gerard Depardieu .
