| I started experiencing this rather bizarre occurrence when I was forty years old, at first I thought they were coincidences, I would stand with my back to a digital clock and something made me turn around and I would notice that the time would be 11:11. These incidents intensified I would be checked into hotel rooms on floor 11 room 1111. I started noticing these digits on computers, microwave ovens, cars, documents, etc. I decided to write about it on my website. I was immediately inundated by hundreds of emails from all around the world. Individuals were telling me their own 11:11 stories, almost always saying “I thought it only happened to me”. It is difficult for me to decipher what this is all about but my intuition tells me its positive. I have been asked many times about the September 11th 2001 attacks in New York and Washington. People ask me how I can claim that 11/11 is positive when there were so many deaths in those attacks? My answer is that those attacks would have been far worse if the terrorists had used a dirty nuclear weapon in the form of a suitcase bomb that could have been placed anywhere in New York, Los Angeles, London or any other heavily populated city. If that had happened the consequences would have been far more devastating. I believe that those who died on September 11th did not die in vain. This was a massive wake-up call to the world reminding us that the know-how to put such a bomb together is already out there. Needless to say, such an explosion would have killed over 100,000 people and irradiated an area of hundreds of square miles with deadly radioactivity that would remain there for years. Remember Chernobyl, now a ghost town? When I see the number 1111: I pray for sick children and world peace, the prayer takes a moment but it's very powerful. Please if you can do the same I believe it helps!!!! I believe that people who have constant contact with the 1111 phenomena have some type of a positive mission to accomplish. It is still a mystery to me what it is that we all have to do or why are we all being gathered and connected together, but it is very real and tangible, I feel that it is immensely positive, almost like there is a thinking entity sending us these physical and visual signs from the universe. In me, it activates the power of prayer, love and determination to some how help the world. Some day I suspect we will find out the true meaning behind this puzzling phenomenon. It could start happening to you too after reading my website.
I find this to be interesting since this theory is supposed to explain the universe! The first eleven that was noticed is that string theory has to have 11 parallel universes (discussed in the beginning of the "11.11" article) and without including these universes, the theory does not work. The second is that Brian Greene has 11 letters in his name. For those of you who do not know, he is a physicist as well as the author of The Elegant Universe, which is a book explaining string theory. (His book was later made into a mini series that he hosted.) Another interesting find is that Isaac Newton (who's ideas kicked off string theory many years later) has 11 letters in his name as well as John Schwarz. Schwarz was one of the two men who worked out the anomalies in the theory. Plus, 1 person + 1 person = 2 people = equality. Also, the two one's next to each other is 11. The two men had to find the same number (496) on both sides of the equation in order for the anomalies to be worked out, so the equation had to have equality! There were two matching sides to the equation as well because they ultimately got 496 on both sides. So, the 1 + 1 = 2 = equality applies for the equation as well. Here is something more than the paranormal or numerology - something very fundamental about the scientific and mathematical nature of the universe, involving unary arithmetic. (a): 11=3, in binary arithmetic. 3 is the cornerstone of the trinity and also Hinduism. (b): 1 male + 1 female are needed to produce 1 child. Ergo, 1 + 1 = 3, in reproduction. (c): The building block of all existence since the "the Big Bang" is Hydrogen, which through nuclear fusion has produced all the other atoms known to humankind. Hydrogen is another 11, in binary. Another 3: 1 electron; 1 proton and 1 neutron. The Yin and the Yang are also 11 - two ones of opposite kind, reflecting the duality of the universe in eastern religions and modern computer technology. (e): Following year 1BC is the year 1AD - another 11, since our modern calendar has no year 0, which is why the 21st century officially began on Jan 1st, 2001. (f): And finally there is the oddity of the number 10, which historically grew out of counting on our fingers. The oddity is that 10 = 1010 in binary arithmetic - 10:10. HOWEVER, if you count the fingers on your hands in unary arithmetic - no zeros - then 10 fingers, in unwary mathematics, = Our research on September 11 in history uncovered many anomalies and perhaps a significant prophetic sign. The most startling discovery was a book written in 1981, 20 years prior to the 2001 attacks, called "The Birth of Christ Recalculated". The author, Dr. Ernest L. Martin, claims to have calculated the exact date of Jesus Christ's birth based on the celestial charts for that era. The date of Christ's birth, based on the famous Star of Bethlehem, is calculated to be September 11, 3 B.C.. Dr. Martin's findings have been accepted by many scholars, theologians, historians, and astronomers. We also note that Jesus Christ has 11 letters. The crosses found standing in the ruins of the WTC, and the dominance of the number 11 in the 9-11 events, make this combination even more mysterious. There is another significant religious event occurring about 2000 years later on September 11, 1999. According to Hebrew Scriptures September 11, 1999 was the 6,000th anniversary of Adam's creation, and year 1 on the Hebrew calendar. The majority of computers today use binary coding but what is it? Think of an on/off switch where 0 = off and 1 = on. These codes are linked together just as letters and then words are put together to make a sentence. In turn this is speeded up within your computer. It has become an electronic language - a form of communication that can cross many barriers such as language itself. Not only that but it can be applied to so many things some of which have yet to be discovered or thought of. Its not a new concept. I think it began with a piece of string and a knot and then a piece of string and several knots, thousands of years ago. Throughout man's history it has evolved and developed, for example, the Abacus, a more sophisticated and effectively simple 'computer'. Everyone and everything in the world today is based on and affected by this electronic language. In the realms of 11:11 perhaps it can be seen as the communication between two people (and or their computer) for what is the human brain but a computer in the 'on' position. Through communication we learn to appreciate and respect one another's values, customs and beliefs - that has to be a good thing - and all this from a knot and a piece of string thousands of years ago! The 11:11 enigma has been here for a while now and has affected the lives of countless thousands of people. Is it really a phenomenon, or is it our internal body clocks playing tricks on us? For many people seeing the 11s in such abundance makes them certain that this goes far beyond the realms of coincidence. If this is a message then four ones would be the most noticeable of all numbers to have appear on a digital clock. The major question is what can be gleaned from this 'message'. In Colin Wilson's book, The Occult, his discussion of the Pythagoreans (the first numerologists) we get the first glimmer of a starting point, "Creation starts with the 'divine pure unity', number one, then develops to the 'holy four', and the first four digits beget ten, the sacred number, from which everything else springs" (p251).One and one is also the beginning of the Fibonacci curve, a universal pattern of nature found in everything from conch shells to galaxy spirals. If you multiply 1111 by 1111 you get 1234321, representing a pyramid, and number 11 is a sacred number of the pyramid with the proportions of the great pyramid being of the ratio 7:11. Eleven is also a number harmonious with Pi. Therefore, it seems that number eleven is of central importance in understanding the mathematical infrastructure of the universe. This appearance of an abundance of 11:11 sightings on clocks seems to be is about thinking out of your box and letting your mind stretch outside it's comfort zone.11:11 does not allow you to forget about the larger questions because it is always popping back into your reality, acting as catalyst to distract our consciousness away from the sublime and on to something far more challenging. In my own reflexive understanding of this phenomenon, I have taken it to mean the need to find balance in life and avoid becoming too ensconced in the superficiality of our corporate/consumer society. September 11th has created a miasma of evil and has connected the number 11 with much negativity. This, to me, is misplaced, as the choice of date by Bin Laden is probably a cruel joke to reflect the American emergency number.11:11 seems to be the choice before man. Either realize that 1 Muslim is essentially the same as 1 Jew, 1 Christian or 1 Buddhist, so we can either live side by side in harmony, or we can concentrate on the small differences between us and use it as an excuse for conflict. Optimism or pessimism is the choice before us. Solara's (an amazing intuitive) and Uri's opinions: The endless reoccurrence of these hours 11:11, 11:01, 11:10, 10:01, 10:11, 10:10, 1:01, 1:11 represents a positive connection and a gateway to the mysteries of the universe and beyond. A trigger of remembrance For many years the numbers 11:11 have been mysteriously appearing to people all over the world. Often appearing on digital clocks, the sightings of 11:11 tend to occur during times of heightened awareness, having a most powerful effect on the people involved. This causes a reactivation of our cellular memory banks. There’s a stirring deep inside, a hint of remembrance of something long forgotten. The appearance of 11:11 is also a powerful confirmation that we are on the right track, aligned with our highest Truth. Throughout the years, I have personally encountered thousands of people all over the world who, have experienced repeated sightings of 11:11. They all want to know what is happening to them and why. What does the 11:11 signify? 11:11 is a pre-encoded trigger placed into our cellular memory banks prior to our descent into matter which, when activated, signifies that our time of completion is near. This refers to the completion of duality. When the 11:11 appears to you, it is your wake-up call. A direct channel opens up between you and the Invisible. When this happens, it is time to reflect on whatever you are doing for a moment and Look Larger. A transfer is in position. You can enter the Greater Reality if you wish pray or meditate and seed your future and also, you can be seeded by the Invisible. You can ask for help in some specific area of your life or simply listen quietly and receive a revelation. The appearance of 11:11 is an always beneficial act of Divine Intervention telling you that it is time to take a good look around you and see what is really happening. It’s time to pierce the veils of illusion that keep us bound to an unreal world. You have been chosen, because you are ready, to step into the Greater Reality. To lead the way for others into a new way of living, into a Greater Love. To ascend from duality into Oneness. The 11.11 is the bridge to our vitality and oneness. It is our pathway into the positive unknown and beyond. This can presently be perceived as a crack between two worlds. It is like a bridge which has the inherent potential of linking together two very different spirals of energy. As we unite together as One, bringing together our fragments of the key, Thus this bridge functions as an invisible door or a doorway into the Invisible realm. The 11:11 is the bridge to an entirely different spiral of evolution. The symbol of 11:11 was pre-encoded into our cellular memory banks long ago. Returning our cycle of incarnations upon the Earth. The 11.11 has rested dormantly within us since that faraway position under time-release mechanization, combined with sealed orders which would only open when the 11.11 was fully activated. It has been gently sleeping, awaiting the moment of triggering. And now the 11:11 is finally activated... 11:11 is the pre-encoded trigger and the key to the mysteries of the universe and beyond. Some of you have recognized this symbol as something of significance, yet have been unaware of its true meaning. With the advent of digital clocks many years ago, the significance of 11:11 began to make itself felt, often appearing on clocks at times of accelerated awareness. For those of you who have know that 11:11 was something special, we now need you to come forth into positions of leadership. For you are important parts of the key. 11 isn't just a precursor to danger etc – it’s the whole point! 1+1 = 2 - unity, togetherness, peace. September 11 was a tragic event - no-one would question that - but if it leads to people realizing that the only way for this race to survive is togetherness and peace, maybe those deaths will not be in vain.

Entertainer and psychic Uri Geller played an unusual role in breaking the ice during talks on a historic deal between the Palestinian Red Crescent and its Israeli counterpart by bending spoons.
Geller, who is head of the Friends of Magen David Adom, a key fundraising arm of the Israeli relief agency, proved the point at the signing ceremony in the Swiss city of Geneva by gently rubbing a few spoons out of shape."Uri Geller did not just help break the ice with the skills that have made him famous -- a considerable number of bent spoons line the road that led to this agreement," said Swiss Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Rey.
"He has also played a pivotal role in helping everyone focus on the main objective and overcoming differences over secondary details at key junctures," she told the assembled dignitaries.
A bright-eyed Geller, whose claims to have telepathic powers have been contested, returned the compliment, praising the determination of the negotiators.

Geneva, 28th of November 2005Mr. Al Khatib, Dr. Yifrach, Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen - It is an immense pleasure for me to host this ceremony today in my home town.
First and foremost, because of the people who are here and who have been involved in bringing about this agreement between the Israeli and Palestinian National Societies. The two principal heroes of this day are Noam Yifrach and Younis al-Khatib - I hope that you will not mind me addressing you in this rather personal way.I have met both of you separately and jointly during the efforts that lead to this agreement. I feel privileged for this and am keeping unforgettable memories of my meetings with Noam Yifrach and Uri Geller in Bern, with Younis al Khatib in his office in Ramallah and of our joint Iftar dinner in Jerusalem which, I think, was a key event in bringing about this agreement.
We are all very lucky that foresight has placed two men of your calibre at the helm of the Israeli and Palestinian National Societies at this point in time. You have shown lots of courage and wisdom. You have been ready to think out of the box and to go beyond some of the dogmas that are dear to many in your societies and have so far stood in the way of establishing peaceful co-existence and co-operation between your two nations.
You have also shown true humanity in the way you have dealt with each other. You strived to understand each others concerns and constraints and to build something together that allows both of you to go home to your own environment.
Even so, this has not been easy for either of you. Both of you have faced and may continue to face criticism and harsh questioning from people within your societies who have less empathy for the concerns and needs of the other side.
The fact that you have taken these personal risks shows that you are able to think beyond your immediate personal interests. You care about ideals, about the future of the National Societies that you lead and about the future of your people in general. This makes you great disciples of Henry Dunant who was inspired by the conviction that all human beings share something called humanity, that overcomes even the most extreme differences. You have shown yourselves to be more than worthy of leading your National Societies to full membership of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. I sincerely hope that your agreement will pave the way for this common desire, expressed in your Memorandum of Understanding, to be realized in the very near future.
We know that individuals can make a big difference in history, but they can never do so alone. Both of you have been supported by great teams who share your values and attitudes that I have described. I am glad that some of them are her today and salute them too. You have also been assisted by a team of people from the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and from my Ministry. They have worked tirelessly and with great imagination and insight to help you reach your goal. Among the many I would like to extend special thanks to Christopher Lamb, François Bugnion and Jean-Christophe Sandoz. Their long experience, wisdom, skills and creativity as well as their total dedication to the task greatly facilitated the facilitating role played by the Swiss government.
I am aware that their personal contribution would not have been possible without the support and understanding of their institutions and I am grateful for the opportunity to say this in front of Dr Kellenberger, Mr. Westerberg and Mr Cuvillier, who have been very supportive.
I would also like to thank the President of the friends of Magen David Adom who has shown himself to be a friend of both Magen David Adom and the Palestine Red Crescent Society. Finally, I would like to thank the government of Israel and the Palestinian Authority for the constructive attitude that they have taken vis-à-vis this endeavour of their National Societies and for being represented here today. We all know that National Societies are independent and do not receive instructions from their governments but we also know that National Societies cannot work in isolation from their governments.
The agreement to be signed today is purely humanitarian in character. Although it touches upon some very delicate issues it successfully sets them into a context which does not interfere with its humanitarian purpose. It is to the great credit of the Israeli and Palestinian authorities that they have seen this so clearly. I sincerely hope that, even though this agreement does not bind them, they will facilitate its full implementation where this depends on their co-operation and good will.
I have acceded to the request of Magen David Adom and the Palestine Red Crescent Society for Switzerland to monitor the implementation of the agreement and to report on it to the upcoming International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. We will do so in close co-operation with the ICRC and the Federation and in full respect of their mandates. Given the atmosphere of sincerity and mutual understanding between your two Societies, I am confident that we will be able to fulfil this mandate by working with you in a constructive advisory capacity.
The agreement that you are about to sign represents an important milestone in more than one way:
- It shows your commitment to international humanitarian law and the rules and fundamental principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
- The fact that you were able to agree on the geographical scope of your operational activities and competences in spite of the fact that this touches upon issues not yet settled at the political level reflects the noble ideal that the humanitarian movement should transcend political conflict. It shines as an example for other national societies.
- Beyond the humanitarian sphere it sets an example for the Israeli and Palestinian public and thereby makes a small, but meaningful contribution in the wider process of achieving peace and co-operation between your two nations.
- Finally, it goes a long way to address the concerns that have so far prevented a number of States from wholeheartedly embracing the solution of the longstanding issue of the emblems of the Geneva Conventions and the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. In this context I would also like to highlight the readiness of MDA to conclude analogous agreements with other neighbouring societies, as was stated in the declaration that Dr. Yifrach signed here in Geneva on 27 September and in his interpretative remarks on that occasion. I can confirm that for the last two months, MDA has been ready to live up to this commitment. I understand that this continues to be the case and hope that MDA’s readiness will soon meet a positive response. In the meantime I trust that your agreement does indeed pave the way for the adoption of the Third Protocol Additional to the Geneva Conventions at the Diplomatic Conference which will start next Monday in this very Conference Center.
It certainly does make a crucial contribution for the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to achieve its ambition of Universality.
I look forward to meeting you both again in the future, for I feel that we have established ties of friendship. I thank you for your dedication and inspirational commitment, and I close by repeating my commitment to continue to help you both meet the humanitarian needs of your people.

Uri Geller was one of the great phenomena of the 1970s, gaining distinction as the man who could bend spoons with the power of his mind. Geller obtained considerable celebrity after his famous appearance on the Weekend show in 1974 – when people everywhere rang in claiming that he had made household utensils bend and watches start again after demonstrating such on the screen. Geller’s celebrity became such that he even released a disco record in which he showed people how to bend spoons themselves. Of course there have been many who have questioned the actuality of Geller’s powers – Geller’s spoon-bending abilities have been noticeably absent whenever cameras are present. Former stage magician and noted sceptical debunker James Randi wrote a devastating book The Truth About Uri Geller (1982), which showed that all of Geller’s abilities could be duplicated with simple magical tricks. Geller of course responded to such accusations with a barrage of lawsuits, although his suit against Randi was eventually dismissed as frivolous. Geller also makes extraordinary claims – to have been given his powers by UFOs, that UFOs appear whenever he goes on tv, that he can predict the future, to be a believer in lost Atlantean super-civilization, to have designed a line of crockery that will spontaneously fly off shelves and to having been paid millions by oil companies to go dowsing for oil (even though Randi revealed that only one oil company had ever paid Geller and considerably less than Geller claimed). He even claimed once on a radio station to be able to make Big Ben stop by thinking about it – it never did. Geller’s own website (www.uri-geller.com) makes extraordinary claims such as: “His work with the FBI and the CIA has ranged from using MindPower to erase KGB computer files and track serial killers, to attend nuclear disarmament negotiations to bombard and influence delegates with positive thought waves so that they would sign the Nuclear Arms Reduction Treaty.” Clearly many people believe in Geller’s powers – in recent years he has emerged as Michael Jackson’s best friend. This author is not one of them – that any single one of Geller’s claims might be true would involve an extraordinary reconceptualizing of the way we look at the universe.
This Israeli-financed film was a biopic of Geller’s life. Ken Russell has been brought in to direct. Russell is of course a British director who courted outrage with films such as Women in Love (1970), The Devils (1971), Lisztomania (1974) and Tommy (1975) and was once one of the celebrated arthouse directors. (See below for Russell’s genre entries). In the 1980s and 90s however Russell’s star has fallen considerably and he had struggled for the recognition he once held and was eventually forced to take on low-budget hackwork like this.
The film appears to be taking itself deadly serious. As the credits tell us: “Uri is not a magician. He is using capabilities we all have and can develop. You will get a chance to practice with Uri at the end of the film.” On the other hand, the serious intent of the endeavour seems to be fighting with Russell’s characteristic proclivities towards turning it all into a lunatically over-the-top madhouse. As the credits also ominously note “The following events are interpreted through the eyes of Ken Russell.” [my emphasis]. Indeed the nuttiness of Russell’s ‘interpretation’ starts in from the moment the credits play – one is not sure what the biopic of a supposedly real psychic has to do with images of the Moon Landing and footage of Earth and the galaxy, all while Elton John’s Rocket Man plays on the soundtrack. It’s clearly Russell in a full flight of lunacy a la Tommy – the early scenes at an open-air school take place against a building, the different faces of which have been painted with a Dali melting clock; Uri’s father takes his belt off to give Uri a beating but contrarily rock music starts playing on the soundtrack; and there are randomly intercut images of crabs on a beach and toy UFOs. Russell’s films of the late 1980s became increasingly tongue-in-cheek. And here when it comes to the scenes at Terence Stamp’s house with Geller teleporting dogs and moving tennis balls and windup toys you are not sure whether you are meant to be taking any of it seriously at all. There’s is an hysterically awful scene outside a casino (which looks suspiciously like a pool beside a mansion) where the door is blown off Geller’s limousine by a psychic storm, money he has just won at a gambling table blows everywhere and Geller starts twirling around in mid-air, all supposedly because he used his powers for personal gain. Even funnier is the scene where Geller breaks out from military custody, which looks more like it belongs in a Scanners sequel rather than something that is attempting to be a serious biopic. Here Geller escapes the lab, using his powers to knock out soldiers and scientists, bending the guns aimed at him and the gates in his way, while at the same time as driving a car while wearing a sensory deprivation helmet that covers his eyes and navigating psychically, before finally teleporting into Stamp’s living room, landing on the couch and nonchalantly asking “Am I late for lunch?” It’s the sort of scene that can be guaranteed prize status in any future collection of really, really laughably bad screen moments. The actor playing Geller, Ishai Golan, plays with an annoyingly arrogant manner. Moreover he quite improbably looks about the age of fifteen right throughout. The entire film, even the parts of the Americans, has clearly been cast with Israelis who speak English through often quite thick accents.
Mindbender sinks down to a level of real ineptitude. It is an entirely laughable film on almost every single count. In a few years it is probably going to be revived and deemed worthy of Golden Turkey status. It is hard to believe that this laughable rubbish can come from the same director who made fine works such as The Devils and the underrated likes of Altered States (1980) and Crimes of Passion (1984).
What is perhaps particularly noticeable is the film’s overwhelming endorsement of the actuality of Geller’s powers. The film depicts a number of occasions when considerable doubt might have been placed on whether Geller was making it all up or not and then just blithely ignores or dismisses any sceptical enquiry – like the time Geller is exposed for the fact that his volunteer chose his own wife as accomplice during the stage act. (Who is to say that this may not have been a genuine occasion when Geller was exposed, when we have only his on-screen character’s claim that he did not know). Or when Geller’s photos of supposedly a UFO are revealed as identical to the lampshade in his house. Or where, after Geller’s famous tv performance during which he brought the microphone towards the clocks on the stage and revealed them all to be ticking, people later reported finding a tape recorder in his pocket. Or the very fact that the scientist (Terence Stamp) who supposedly brought Geller to America and measured his powers had all records of his experiments mysteriously erased and has himself gone off exploring in South America and cannot be traced ie. Geller’s claims independently corroborated. All of these, which would normally be strong reasons to doubt the authenticity of Geller’s claims, are raised by the film but then dismissed without the blink of an eyelid. But mostly though there is just the plain lack of conviction to Geller’s claims – if there was someone who had such frighteningly powerful superhuman abilities, including being able to teleport, kill people, levitate objects and bend metal, does it really seem credible that he would just waste his time putting them at the service of mere showmanship?
There’s quite a funny ending that flashes forward into the future and supposedly gives us a telecast from the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, which we are told now hosts spoon-bending events, while Golan, still looking fifteen (the real Geller was 55 at the time), turns up and asks everybody to touch their hands to the screen and concentrate on disarming nuclear weapons. Finally the credits roll and then suddenly stop in mid-flow, whereupon the real Geller appears. As the opening credits promise, he really does show people how to harness their psychic powers – he demonstrates how to make a watch work by holding it in his hands and then asks viewers to touch their hands to the screen and concentrate on uniting the whole world in positivity. The cod showmanship of it all is quite hysterical. At least the real Geller has a polished showman’s charm that Golan in playing him on-screen utterly fails to project.
