    Executive Vice President, General Counsel

    Jolee Hancock Bollinger, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, joined the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System in 2006. She plays an important role to key strategic growth and integration initiatives for the $3.6 billion, 1,700-licensed bed not-for-profit, integrated health system in Louisiana and Mississippi. In addition, Bollinger’s expertise in Canon Law has helped shepherd the health system’s path for sponsorship transition from the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Sisters to a Public Juridic Person. Bollinger and her legal team are essential partners to the Catholic identify of the ministry and the integrity of its business operations.

    Prior to joining the health system, Bollinger was Associate General Counsel for HealthSouth Corporation from 2004 to 2006. She served as Associate General Counsel for Baptist Health System in Birmingham, Alabama, from 2000 to 2004 and was an Associate primarily focused on health law with two Birmingham law firms from 1996 to 2000.

    Bollinger earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1992 and master’s in Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1995. She received her law degree in 1995, graduating magna cum laude from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. She is a member of the Alabama and Louisiana State Bar Associations, the American Health Law Association and is active in numerous civic and service organizations.

    James Craven, MD

    President, Franciscan Health Physicians

    Dr. James Craven has served as president of the employed provider group for our health system since 2020. In this role he oversees more than 1000 providers across Louisiana and Mississippi driving results for clinical affordability, quality, growth, and financial performance, as well as for internal physician relations and external relationship initiatives.

    A New Orleans native, Dr. Craven has been a practicing vascular surgeon since 2003, previously working in private practice in the New Orleans region and then with CVT Surgical Center in Baton Rouge before joining Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group Vascular Surgery in 2019.

    Dr. Craven received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport. He went on to complete his residency in general surgery and a fellowship in vascular surgery from the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. He is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons and has recently earned an Executive Master of Business Administration from Brandeis University in Boston.

    Prior to his current positions, he served as Associate Chief Medical Officer and as the Medical Director of Surgical Services at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Dr. Craven also is a member of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center board and serves as chair of the Contracting and Finance Committee for Health Leaders Network. In addition, Dr. Craven is a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the LSU Health Science Center in New Orleans.

    Dr. Craven also serves as Vice-Chair of the Community Practice Division of the Society of Vascular Surgery.

    Cheif Operating Officer

    Kevin Cook, Chief Operating Officer, joined the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System in July 2020. He oversees all health system operations for multiple regional markets in Louisiana and Jackson, Mississippi. Cook manages administrative functions and drives operational efficiencies for the health system, its acute care and ambulatory functions. In addition, he is responsible for standardizing processes across all system facilities and supporting the strategic growth and sustainability of the organization.

    After earning a bachelor’s degree from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York, Cook completed a master’s in Business Administration from Boston University. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1991-1999, achieving the rank of Major.

    Cook’s experiences include serving as a Six Sigma engineer with Caldwell Butler & Associates and as Director of Operations for the Premier Innovation Institute prior to beginning his healthcare administrative career. He joined Mercy Health in Cincinnati, where he served in Ohio and Pennsylvania as a hospital Chief Operating Officer, regional Chief Executive Officer and market Chief Executive Officer. He most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s Health System in Jackson, Mississippi.List members
