Port Manteaux churns out silly new words when you feed it an idea or two. Enter a word (or two) above and you'll get back a bunch of portmanteau created by jamming together words that are conceptually related to your inputs.
For example, enter "giraffe" and you'll get back words like "gazellephant" and "gorilldebeest". Enter "south america" and "chess" and you'll get back words like "checkuador".
Port Manteaux was created by Doug Beeferman and Sean Gerrish. It uses the Datamuse API to find related words, and then finds combinations of these words that pair well together phonetically.
Note: The algorithm tries [dic] reconstruct a spelling for the new word after generating its pronunciation, and sometimes this spelling isn't quite right. If you're able to read IPA you'll find a more accurate pronunciation in the "Pronunciation" column on the right.
