Wilford Joseph Souza (born June 21, 1921 - died August 7, 2005) was an American Photojournalist who documented all aspects of life in the Middle Tennessee area from 1948 to 1995. As the chief photographer at the Clarksville Leaf Chronicle for most of those years he covered historical and political events, social life, natural history and criminal news for a multi-county region.

Biography [edit]

Souza was born Los Angeles, California, where his family resided at 2424 East 69th Street. His father was a building contractor and his mother a housewife. [1].

Souza's archives are held at the Tennessee State Archives in Nashville, Tennessee.
