was born on March 25, 1938, in Duncan, Oklahoma. He worked as a folksinger in the early 50's, went on to write songs, perform, act in both movies and television. He formed his own record label, Jeremiah Records, in 1978. He wrote "Joy To The World" and "Never Been To Spain" for Three Dog Night. His best known country hits included "When the Morning Comes" and "Boney Fingers" (1974) and "Della and the Dealer" (1979). He married Kathryn Roberts and they had 3 children, April, Michael and Mark. He was married to Donna 'Bambi' Roberts from 1980 - 1990, and they had one son, Matthew. He also has a first born son, Mark Axton. He finally married Deborah Hawkins on August 28, 1997 and they remained married until his death. Hoyt passed away on October 26, 1999 at his ranch in Helena, Montana of a massive heart attack.Actor: Notable TV Guest Appearances
