'legs & co. [pronounced 'coe'] vs. pans [pan's (if you must)] people' wars: current hot gossip by some pans people with legs & co. i know

the blogosphere cycles in fits and starts, feast or famine...

...just take, for instance, the 'legs & co. [pronounced 'coe'] vs. pans [pan's (if you must)] people' war. i mean, there's some that like their legs' and some that like their pp's: i am most certainly of the old school, not growing up in blighty, but inducted by blogosfire to the latter camp.

one of my colleagues over at the ol' pcp linkdumper, mr. splogman [another crazy swede, like my esteemed befactor, mr. z/], i believe is at this moment perched on a fence 'splitting the baby,' and i find his democratization, both, considerate and prudent.

so in the spirit of renewed blip-cycling and recycling old glam, glitz, and brightly coloured eye crack for new again, here are some legs and co., as well as a few linkthings which have crossed my reader a time or two--some mine and some via the fact that i am surely one of the only people you know personally with a pans people rss, popping in new pp's 24-hrs- a-day.

i can't believe it's you...and on pcb linkdump.

i mean, it's mine [an old channel], and it happens to be one of my favorite videos, and of course it's pans people, and there's about a million of 'em, and i've seen 'em all; but seriously, you win, as far as blogging something which i had completely fucked up in good fun, and then added as a description.

but, you know, i kind of like the fact that 'four gyro-tops' or whatever i said sounds believable to someone besides me.

plus, i love splogman; and you're a friend on 123v, i think; one of the only ones that i kind of know.

I'm just old enough to remember them (Top of the Pops album cover girls were already an obsession of mine by the age of 4), but I'm sure it was Legs & Co who did the punk era stuff. you're not gonna believe this but possibly as a result of added exposure, the pp with booker t's hip hug her was taken down today. youtube generated an email which said that it was because of copyright infringement of the song, not the video, and added, that i could audio replace the soundtrack.

i really loved that videe, good thing i have it up at dm and 123.

Skinner says swearing should be used sparingly on TV

Comedian Frank Skinner is to make a special edition of BBC's Panorama programme about swearing, and taste and decency, on television.
Skinner, who has experimented with dropping swearing from his act, has spoken to all the major broadcasters for the show.
The 51-year-old's programme will be aired in early February.
It follows a call last month from ITV head Michael Grade for broadcasters to cut down on "indiscriminate" swearing.
He spoke in the wake of a row over offensive calls made by presenters Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand on Brand's Radio 2 show.
The pair left lewd voicemail messages for 78-year-old Andrew Sachs about the Fawlty Towers actor's granddaughter, Georgina Baillie.
'Back off'
Last month, Skinner told BBC Radio 4's Today programme he had performed a gig without using bad language, as an experiment to freshen up his act.

As a result, he has now cut down significantly on the amount swearing he uses in his performances.
He also told Today he agreed with Grade that there was now too much swearing on TV.

"So I just think we need to back off on the stuff that's not necessary."
Panorama producers believe this stance makes him highly qualified to examine the issue.

They say it is rare for non-journalists to make Panorama programmes and that celebrities are only asked to front the show when they can bring their own perspective to an issue.
Previous such programme makers have included Blur bassist Alex James, who looked at the cocaine industry in Colombia, and writer Bill Bryson, who investigated the UK's attitude to littering.

Before the internet, you had to have a friend of a friend who "had this awesome N.O.U. concert footage". You had to really want to see it bad. So you gave your friend a blank VHS tape to give to his friend and prayed that they would be cool enough to dub it for you. Then you would hear rumors that Cupid Car Club or Blacktop would be touring and try to track the show down. It used to be so hard.
