Lisa De Leeuw Defends First Amendment







Lisa De Leeuw (July 3, 1958) is the stage name (pronounced LEE-sah dih LAY-oh) of an American actress of the Golden Age of Film. She appeared in many films from the "Golden Age" of film, and was one of the first performers to sign an exclusive contract with major production company Vivid Video. She won the Film Critics Award for Best Actress in 1981, and was inducted into the Critics Hall of Fame. She left the business in 1987. Besides her red hair, big breasts, and freckles, she wore around her neck a lion's head pendant in almost all her films and pictorials. As to Lisa De Leeuw's lion's head pendant, her surname De Leeuw is Dutch for "The Lion." De Leeuw is a common surname in the Netherlands."

Die 18-jährige Rechtsanwaltsgehilfin Annemarie Ostermeier, die in einem kleinen Vorort Münchens aufwächst, träumt davon, berühmt zu werden. Als sie eines abends den Schönheitswettbewerb in einer Vorstadtdisko gewinnt, kann sie anschließend ein Fotografdazu überreden, Probeaufnahmen zu machen. Tatsächlich gelangen dann die Fotos unter dem Künstlernamen Angela Winter in den „Playboy“ und Annemarie alias Angela wird „Playmate des Monats“. Wenn auch über Nacht ein Star, happert es mit dem Starsein noch. Nach kleineren Filmrollen gelingt ihr der Durchbruch mit einer Teenager-Erotik-Komödie. Doch schon bald folgt die Ernüchterung...

Das gut gespielte zweiteilige Gesellschaftsdrama ist inspiriert vom Schicksal der Schauspielerin Sibylle Rauch ("Drei Lederhosen in St. Tropez"). Regisseur Christoph Stark verzichtete dabei auf allzu Reißerisches. Allerdings tut sich Anna Loos als 18-jährige reichlich schwer.
