Rock N Roll really got its start in America. Probably coming out of a fusion of different types of music (blues, doo wap, juke joint songs, etc). It started with a large number of people. It spread to Europe, particularly the United Kingdom and they picked it up and did somethin great with it themselves (The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, etc) and brought it back over here which is where we get the British Invasion from. I am not music historian but you can say rock n roll really built it's base up in the 1950's and hit the world hard in the 1960's and has been growning and changing ever since.

Get the necessary players that get along with each other. Make sure they have the equipment. Decide who is going to make the decisions. Find or write the music you want to play. Find a rehearsal spot. Practice lots. Offer to play some freebies. Record everything you do. make sure that all members of the group are of age or get their parents to agree to sign contacts. When you have done all this look for an agent. Yes there is much more. I hope you will do it for the joy of playing. If you become famous great, but that is not why you are playing.
