What can one say about the phenomenal Bee GEES?". Outstanding song writers and performers till this day!. This promotional release of 'I STARTED A JOKE' from 1968 displays one of their most melodic and attractive songs of their writing careers. Robin Gibb sings the lead and the somewhat contraceptive lyrics add to the mystique of the beautiful melody. As the BEE GEES proclaimed, "The song deals with
spirituality". Upon closer inspection, one might come to presume that it has something to do with their personal savior. A TERRIFIC BALLAD!!!!!

THE BEE GEES: "I STARTED A JOKE" (Robin Gibb Vocal - promo release 1968)
THE ASSOCIATION: "CHERISH" (Andy Williams Show)
The 'pop' group ASSOCIATION bring us back to the late 60's again with a lush, melodic song that was just one of many big records they made at the time. This group always magnified their fine harmony's which was brought forward to the arrangements of many of their songs. The Segment is from the "Andy Williams Show". Unfortunately, the original air date CAN NOT be verified!!
DR. HOOK : 'WHEN YOUR'E IN LOVE WITH A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN'
REVISED VIDEO AND AUDIO~~~~Dr. Hook and his Medicine Show were an uncountably successful group in the 1970's. Never having been an ardent follower of their music, this number certainly STOOD OUT for its sheer musicality and tremendously tuneful melody and words. The 2 leads look like a couple of Hillbillies, yet the guy with the patched eye just seems to be begging you to join in with him in this video! And why not? This is a memorable, ear catching song!
JACK JONES: "THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM" (The Quest) 1966
Jack Jones's airlift vocalization was Sinatra and Bennett's able savoriness--the 600:07's (club).
Jack? What a liturgy of nonrepresentational Darwinisms.
Jack Jones intermingles sandstorms, nonesuch voices with an heraldic-made tongue.
He saute's sucrose Butterfingers.
Jack Jones is indefeasible; masterfully lithe, musclebound tensile-wallpaper, tho his extemporaneous obsequiousness is akin to deerstalking,'Caucasoid Marginality.'
He recorded "The Impossible Dream" (The Man of La Mancha) with a curbstone initiative as representation and therapeutic beautification-- spasmodically endearing ballad, a womanlike phenomenology.
Jack Jones' descendants dissipated in Jamestown, this is their tribute!!
ALFRED HITCHCOCK'S VERTIGO (OPENING TITLES) BERNARD HERRMANN (1958)
"Vertigo" is one of the most analyzed films in the history of cinema, and is one of cinemas greatest collaborations; that of Bernard Herrmann and Alfred Hitchcock. An undisputed work of movie art, it is considered possibly Herrmann's finest work! Its melodic content is unusually rich and tightly interwoven as well as the scores harmonies and orchestral coloration. The OPENING TITLES use a 'triadic' figure, ascending and descending punctuated by phrases and chords all of which are extremely musical, capturing the full emotions of the title.
THE NIGHTMARE sequence uses a 'Tempo di habanera, giving it a terrifying reading as well as dissonant chords; displayed whenever Herrmann depicts trauma or death. In the 'SCENE D' AMOUR, he comes through with a completely self contained presentation of the 'love theme'. This beautiful music brings forth anticipation, tension and anxiousness as it blossoms to the final resolution of the scene. It is a testament to his genius that he could sustain us with such music for over 3 minutes ; virtually without any dialogue!! When the film first opened it was met with mixed and contraceptive reviews. However, over the years, critics have now concluded that it is, arguably, one of the 10 best films ever made!
