A Super Bowl LVI NFL Presents: COVID Lessons and Outlook
A Super Bowl LVI Edition of NFL Presents:COVID Lessons Outlook
The NFL is approaching the end of a second successful season in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The league was able to conduct the 2021 season safely by collaborating with the NFLPA, medical experts, public health officials and club medical staffs; relying on science and data to guide decision-making; adjusting strategies as Omicron brought a new phase of the pandemic; and through vaccine education, protocol enforcement and consistent messaging from leadership.
NFL Chief Medical Officer Dr. Allen Sills will moderate a webinar to discuss key decisions the NFL made during the 2021 season, what the league has learned about COVID, and what the future of the pandemic may look like for 2022 and beyond.
Dr. Sills will be joined by:
• Dr. Chris Hostler, Infectious Diseases Physician, Co-Owner of Infection Control Educations for Major Sports (ICS)
• Dr. Christina Mack, Vice President of Epidemiology and Clinical Evidence and Head of Surveillance and Agile Analytics at IQVIA and advisor to the NFL
