Amy Wright is one of Canada’s most in demand choreographers. Her work includes feature films, movies of the week, television series, reality TV, commercials and stage musicals. Amy’s choreography has been featured on several episodes of So You Think You Can Dance Canada. Up and coming in theatres: Grey Gardens Amy created several dances for Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange; The Time Traveller’s Wife a romantic duet with Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana; Kit Kittridge: An American Girl Mystery Amy worked with Broadway star Jane Krakowksi. Over the years, Amy has been fortunate to work with some of the hottest stars in the business: Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Colin Farrell, Molly Shannon, Will Ferrell, Selma Blair, Alicia Silverstone, Taye Diggs, Shelley Long, Selma Blair and a movie produced by Britney Spears. Amy has choreographed ten Academy Award Winners/Nominees: Julianne Moore, Woody Harrelson, Sissy Spacek, Richard Dreyfuss, Peter O’Toole, Joan Plowright, Jeremy Irons, Virginia Madsen, Ellen Page and Jessica Lange! Amy’s commercial choreography includes the “Happy Dance” campaign for Lotto 6/49, The Pepto Bismol dance, spots for Hasbro, Hellmann‘s Mayonnaise, Nestle’s Ice Cream, Trident Gum, AT&T, Bud Light, Canada‘s Wonderland, Disney World, Molson Canadian, Kit Kat to name a few. Amy is extremely proud that over one million children throughout North America are learning to dance her choreography through a series of eight “How to Dance DVD’s” called Bella Dancerella (sold at Walmart and Toys R Us).
