Clint Eastwood is directing Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman in The Human Factor, a film about the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
Damon plays rugby star and South African team captain Francois Pienaar, who along with former South African president Nelson Mandela (Freeman) created an event that gave the country’s whites and blacks a common cause to rally around as the country healed from years of apartheid.
The film is based on the book The Human Factor: Nelson Mandela and the Game that Changed the World, and has many social, apartheid-rooted issues that I’m sure will be mentioned in trailers and subsequent promotional material.

"Invictus" Clint Eastwood's Nelson Mandela Pic Gets New Title And Release Date
Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Clint Eastwood's Nelson Mandela film has been given a new name and release date. The Oscar-winning actor/filmmaker will open "Invictus," the feature film based on the life of the former South African president, on December 11.
The film is based on the John Carlin book, "The Human Factor: Nelson Mandela and the Game that Changed a Nation," which was also its working title before they settled on "Invictus."
The new title is taken from a short poem by William Ernest Henley that Mandela often recites.
"Invictus" follows Mandela (Morgan Freeman) as he attempt to use the 1995 Rugby World Cup to heal his nation after his release from prison, the fall of apartheid and his election as president, Variety reports.
Matt Damon also stars. He will play Francois Pienaar, the captain of the South African rugby team.
