E' un'icona del cinema britannico e ha firmato lavori molto in anticipo sui tempi sia come direttore della fotografia che come regista, stiamo parlando di Nicolas Roeg a cui il Festival di Karlovy Vary ha dedicato un tributo in 5 film, Bad Timing, Performance, Puffball, Two Deaths e Walkabout. "Come non sentirsi adulati e allo stesso tempo imbarazzati" esordisce con un sorriso malizioso il regista che il 15 agosto avra' 80 anni, «ma non amo il senso di definizione delle cose».

Cuando me lo pasó un compañero, creí que era otro documental aburrido de los suyos, no pensaba ni en abrirlo, pero decidí darle una pésima oportunidad. No pensé que este video me llegase tanto. "Cada noche será vivida como la ultima, y cada día como si fuera el primero." Impresionante, realmente... Impresionante.
