Another clip from a film recorded in the sixties and found in the archives of the Dutch broadcasting company. What else is buried in there and might show up at some time. A collector in Holland taped this from a jazz show of recordings done mainly in the late fifties or early sixties. The Thelonnious Monk quartet plays Rhythm-a-ning in 1961 with Charlie Rouse on tenor, John Ore on bass, and Frankie Dunlop on drums. Thelonious Sphere Monk (1917 -- 1982) was a jazz pianist and composer. He is known for his unique improvisational style and many contributions to the standard jazz repertoire, including his classic works "'Round Midnight" and "Blue Monk". Monk is often regarded as a founder of bebop although his playing style evolved away from the form. His compositions and improvisations often highlight rhythmic and spatial relationships rather than melody.Monk's manner was idiosyncratic. Visually, he was renowned for his distinctively "hip" sartorial style in suits, hats and sunglasses, and he developed an unusual, highly syncopated and percussive manner of playing piano. He was also noted for the fact that at times he would stop playing, stand up from the keyboard and dance in a counterclockwise fashion, while the other musicians in the combo played. It is said that he would rarely speak to anyone other than his beloved wife Nellie, and certainly in later years it was reported that he would go through an entire tour without speaking to the other members of his group. There has been speculation that some of Monk's quirky behaviour was due to mental illness. As his health declined, his last years were spent as a guest in the New Jersey home of his long-standing patron, Baroness Nica de Koenigswarter, who had also nursed Charlie Parker during his final illness. He died of a stroke on February 17, 1982

Kim Wilde - Cambodia
Well he was thailand based
She was an airforce wife
He used to fly weekends
It was the easy life
But then it turned around
And he began to change
She didnt wonder then
She didnt think it strange
But then he got a call
He had to leave that night
He couldnt say too much
But it would be alright
He didnt need to pack
Theyd meet the next night
He had a job to do
Flying to cambodia
And as the nights passed by
She tried to trace the past
The way he used to look
The way he used to laugh
I guess shell never know
What got inside his soul
She couldnt make it out
Just couldnt take it all
He had the saddest eyes
The girl had ever seen
He used to cry some nights
As though he lived a dream
Ans as she held him close
He used to search her face
As though she knew the truth
Lost inside cambodia
But then a call came through
They said hed soon be home
She had to pack a case
And they would make a rendez-vous
But now a year has passed
And not a single word
And all the love she knew
Has disappeared out in the haze
Cambodia - dont cry now - no tears now
And now the years have passed
With not a single word
But there is only one thing left
I know for sure
She wont see his face again

Elvis Presley Fan Clubs were advised in mid-1967 that Elvis's Gold Cadillac would be touring.
The Cadillac was hoping to raise $100,000 for seventeen charities around the country.
Before leaving the USA, Elvis placed $1,000 inside the lucky Cadillac.
The Cadillac departed the States on the 8th of December, 1967.
The Cadillac arrived in Australia in early January, 1968.
The Cadillac cleared Customs.
The Cadillac was touring.
The Cadillac held a press conference in Sydney, Australia on the 17th of January.
The Cadillac went on the road immediately.

On 18th August 1977, after a private service inside Graceland, Elvis's body was placed in a gleaming white 1977 Miller-Meteor Landau Traditional Cadillac hearse. Then, a brilliantly shining silver Cadillac limousine led the procession, with the hearse followed by sixteen white Cadillac limousines carrying the mourners to the Memphis Cemetery.
Elvis's generosity, especially in giving gifts of automobiles to friends, family, associates and complete strangers was legendary, as was his preference for Cadillac cars. Sometimes he would test drive them himself for a few days before giving them away.
The Cadillac's special Gold and Black records went along for the ride-- forty in number.
The Cadillac went on a short tour of New Zealand before it returned to the States. The Benevolent Society Charity Committee sent a Letter of Appreciation, stating that the Cadillac had raised $149,175 for charity after all expenses were deducted.
Elvis Presley was made an Honorary Life Governor and proudly hung the plaque on the wall in his Hall of Gold, in his house, called Graceland.
This 1975 Fleetwood Brougham was a gift to help Dr Nick with his deliveries. It has been shown through Europe. This photo was taken by Mr. DJ Fontana in Sweden in 1989.

DEAdateate 19 June 1977 time 8.30pm venue Omaha NE tickets sold 10,604 jumpsuit alert Mexican Sundial Suit:
For 2 shows I wore my beautiful Sundial Jumpsuit!
this particular suit was made in 1974. I wore it for the first time in Lake Tahoe 1974. I suddenly started wearing it again in 1977. Now a lot of rumors float around concerning this suit, it’s said it wasn’t the same one as in ’74, that a replica was made and also that 2 copies existed, which makes sense as I was wearing the same suit every night during my last tour, with the exception being Kansas City, June 18, when I wore the King Of Spades suit.
Originally I was to have worn a complete new jumpsuit but the one that was being manufactured at the time kept needing refitting as it wouldn’t fit me.
I no longer tried on the suits first. The tailors had to guess my measurements.
So that I wouldn't fall through the riveted stage.
