From his humble Chicago beginnings through to the insane upside down world of professional comedy and his time with Elvis Presley. This book is hands down one of the most interesting and best autobiographies I have read in a long time. I can comfortably recommend The Man Who Made Elvis Laugh, based on the tremendous impact it had on me personally. This book was written by true comedy legend that continues to make a positive impact on the rest of the world with his humor and his valuable insights.

As you know, 50 (michael jackson) to 60 (jim carroll) years is the longest that any former rock star or music industry executive can hope to live (Jim Carroll was of course a hardcore junkie, and Michael Jackson...oh, right, they were both junkies), and as that places me prematurely, in my golden years, it also brings with it prematurely wisdom, and mad-sexy, distinguished pussy-magnetivity and other positive benefits, only growing old overnight can achieve--sort of like magic Marcello Mastrianni-dust blown on you by an airboat propellor after emerging from a shower.

ELVIS PRESLEY is set to star on the big screen from beyond the grave - the rock 'n' roll legend's former bodyguard will tell all in a forthcoming biopic about his life with the tragic entertainer.
Presley's friend and former security guard Sonny West will take audiences behind the scenes of the star's sensational rise to fame, his tragic demise, and struggle with drug addiction in feature-length film Fame & Fortune.
West will co-produce and co-write the movie as part of the deal signed with Toronto-based film company RLF Victor Productions, reports Daily Variety.
He was employed by Presley from 1960 until 1976, one year prior to the star's tragic death after suffering a heart attack.

Wow. Incredibly, Joe Wilson's outcry of "You lie!" in the direction of Barack Obama was not the most inappropriate example of public humilation this week.
At the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift defeated Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, and Beyonce to take home the trophy for Best Female Video.
As a visibly humble, appreciative Swift took the stage and began her acceptance speech, Kanye West actually grabbed the microphone from her and declared that Beyonce - with "one of the greatest videos of all-time" - deserved to win.
The camera cut to Beyonce in the audience. She was horrified. Kanye (who drank Hennessy on the red carpet) ran away from the stage like a pathetic little bitch; and Taylor was left alone, embarrassed and speechless.
To the crowd's credit, they stood and applauded Swift, but the damage had been done. Watch the stunning video below and then send in encouragement to Taylor. We love you, girl!
Was this some sort of stunt? Something Swift may have known about ahead of time, similar to the Bruno/Eminem charade at the MTV Movie Awards? It doesn't appear that way.
