Keef's and Woody's and Rod's "Crow Look" at its featheriest.

Andy Newmark: drums
Willie Weeks: bass.

"We played two nights: Wednesday and Thursday down the Kilburn Gaumont! (not Rainbow). Support was from pub rockers 'Chilli Willi and The Red Hot Peppers' [good friend of Lee Brilleaux's]. We never played the Rainbow. It was Ronnie's first and only solo UK gig til 'The Barbarians' played Knebworth in '79, supporting Led Zeppelin. I was talking Ronnie thru and he nervously said, "Fun Innit?" and horsewhipped into "Monkey Man"--Gauloise danglin'...

- FUCKIN' MAGIC -

We expected Mick to appear, but Rod and Faces were at the peak of their popularity in '74--especially with the young tarty-tarts...er mm, adhere--ladies...

*YEAH!*

Rod and Ronnie and Keef were singin' into one mic for 'If You Gotta Make A Fool Of Somebody', and, I recall, Ronnie's 'Crow' jacket as the same one i gave Eno to wear for the inside sleeve of 'For Your Pleasure.'

I was with Theresa Fennell, 'oo had recently broken up with both Ronnie and Ronno--after the great Dame's 'A. Sane' gig). We were served Guinness by Ronnie, who poured pints into Baccarat goblets before the gig, along with the usual...err rm...appetizers. Theressa's first... [BTW: KG's' next to Biddy Mulligans Irish pub, where if you don't stand when the Irish Republican Anthem is played at 11pm, the wrath of the IRA's upon ya.]

P.S.
I remember Woody sayin' at the end of the gig... "I don't know when we'll be back"

The Cover of 'Now Look' is from this gig...

har!

(I had a three-pronged mic for 'Cunty' Jagger too, but he never showed.)
Rod got the place animated, but Keef at the keyboards doin' 'Act Together' was special. My favourite tho is 'Mystifies Me.'"

Cheers,
