Michael Jackson is dying - and has only six months to live, pals fear. Sadly, the desperately ill star is bedridden much of the time, and his electrifying stage performances are a thing of the past. Incredible reports surfaced in late December that Jackson is battling a rare, deadly genetic disorder and requires a lung transplant. Although the singer denied the reports, The ENQUIRER was told by sources that his health is deteriorating rapidly because of a crippling addiction to painkillers and alcohol. A source close to the star divulged: "It's tragic. His condition is just so far gone, I'd be surprised if he lasts six months. "Painkillers have caught up with him. The only way he was able to cope with the stress of sex scandals and his roller-coaster life was to mask the pain with substance abuse. "But the end result is an addiction that will kill him." King Bizarro's dependency on drugs "dates back to when his hair caught on fire." Twenty-five years later, "the drugs simply have ravaged him." Michael's in "really, really bad shape," claims the family friend. "He's been sick for six to eight months and he just keeps getting worse. "His muscles and lungs are deteriorating, and he's bedridden much of the time. He can walk, but not for very long. "On good days, Michael is able to take his kids to a bookstore. But he's never out for more than an hour. He has very little strength...It's ultimately in God's hands." But a spokesman for Jackson vehemently denies the star is ill, saying: "Mr Jackson is in fine health" and is in negotiations for a concert tour and TV projects. "Michael's fighting for his life," the close source concluded. "And it doesn't look good." The Feds have asked LAPD for their assistance in determining the exact nature of the drugs that may have killed the King of Pop and just who supplied to them to the needle-riddled star. As The ENQUIRER reported previously Jackson was a longtime user of Demerol - a morphine like pain killer as well as various narcoleptic pharmaceuticals. Cops confirmed that Propofol aka Diprivan , a surgical anesthesthia administered through IV known in street parlayance as "The Drip", was found in Jackson's home. Sources reveal that Jackson may have used multiple aliases in getting his scripts filled including Call of the Wild author Jack London as well as the name of one of his bodyguards and his manager. The REAL father of Michael Jackson's first two children is NOT his dermatologist!
Despite reports Jacko's longtime friend, Beverly Hills dermatologist Dr. Arnold Klein, fathered Prince Michael I and Paris the two kids are actually the offspring of an anonymous sperm donor chosen by Jacko, The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively.
After painstakingly reviewing dozens of profiles of potential sperm donors, Michael selected "a good-looking white dentist from Pennsylvania who had an extremely high I.Q.," divulged a close family friend.
As for the report that Dr. Klein is the kids' father, "Michael and Arnie always laughed whenever they heard that old rumor. They joked about it," said the Jackson insider.
In choosing a sperm donor, Michael closely examined family histories, educational backgrounds and medical and psychiatric records of potential donors to make sure there was no potential for genetic physical or mental problems, revealed the friend.
Michael chose good friend Debbie Rowe, Dr. Klein's medical assistant, to be the biological mother of his two older children. She was the one who suggested using a sperm bank, says the family friend.
After Debbie was artificially inseminated, Michael and Debbie married on Nov. 15, 1996. Prince Michael Jr. was born on Feb. 13, 1997.
Debbie went through another in vitro procedure later that year with the same sperm donor, and Paris was born on April 3, 1998.
The youngest Prince Michael II aka Blanket is another story entirely - he was acquired through a third -party adoption agency.

Photo by: London Entertainment/SplashThe King of Pop is on his deathbed, claims a shocking new report. Michael Jackson is said to be suffering from a genetic disease called A1AD — alpha-1 anti-trypsin deficiency — which has left him blinded in his left eye and so weak he is barely able to speak.
Jacko's biographer, Ian Halperin, tells Britain's Daily Express, "He needs a lung transplant, but may be too weak to go through with it. He also has emphysema and chronic gastrointestinal bleeding, which his doctors have had a lot of trouble stopping. It's the bleeding that's the most problematic part. It could kill him."
On his Web site Halperin added, "A close friend of Jackson told [me] the singer is scared he won't live longer than six months."
UPDATE:
According to a statement from Jackson's official spokesperson, Dr. Tohme Tohme, the reports of Michael's respiratory disease are a "total fabrication."
