- Channel layout issues on Chrome, Firefox, and Safari - elements around the video don't appear correctly / aren't working
There is a bug which causes channels to display oddly in Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. Some folks may notice that the elements around the video player on their channel are not appearing correctly, and that some features (like the subscribe button) are not working as intended. Our engineering team is aware of this issue with channels and is currently working on a fix.
In the meantime, as a temporary work-around, you can try using another browser (such as Internet Explorer) in order to view and use channels without issues. Once the bug has been resolved you'll be able to go back to using Chrome, Safari, or Firefox again.

Some partners may have been having trouble with their custom video thumbnail formatting. Partners reported a 16:9 image was converted to 4:3. Certain partners have also reported white lines appearing in the video thumbnails.
As a solution for thumbnails which were impacted by the bug, please try re-uploading your thumbnail again.
All new thumbnails should not be impacted by the bug. For new thumbnails, you'll be able continue using the usual 480x360 for 4:3 and 480x270 for 16:9.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while our team was working on the fix for this issue.

Improvements have been made to the regular uploader and uploading (as well as video processing) both occur much more quickly than before. The team has therefore retired the bulk-uploader and we now only support the regular uploader.
We suggest that you use the following uploader in order to quickly upload your video files to our site:
Make sure that you have Google Gears installed for the uploader to work effectively. You can get Google Gears by visiting: gears.google.com

When Mac users try to upload a large video file (e.g. 1-2 GB) through the new Flash uploader, the process might fail if the machine does not have enough free memory.
If this is the case, you will get receive the following error message "Upload failed: An unknown error occurred" after the free memory runs out.As a work-around, try using the HTML uploader (). It is the same upload process, just without the progress bar.

Video comments on the channel page have been broken recently. Our team has removed video comments from all channel pages until video comments are fixed. This is only a temporary removal and video comments will return to the channel page again once our engineering team has fixed comments. Many thanks for your patience in the meantime.
As a work-around to this situation, if you'd like to make a comment on a video but are unable to do so from the channel page, you can leave your comment from the video page instead.

Watching Videos

Some users are having problems playing videos. They report that when they try to play a video, a green bar appears over the video player and splits the screen in half. Our team is aware of this issue and is currently working on a fix.
In the meantime, as a temporary way to solve this problem, we recommend that you disable hardware acceleration on your browser. This should help and should make the green bar go away so you can watch videos without issues again. Here are instructions on how to disable hardware acceleration:
- Right click on the Youtube video
- You'll see various options appear. Select "Settings" or "Display" (depending on your computer / browser you'll see different options)
- Under "Settings" or "Display", de-select the 'Enable hardware acceleration' option
- Refesh the video and it should play without the green error
Many thanks for your patience while we're working on a fix for this issue.

If you're using Internet Explorer 6 or 7, you may be having trouble clicking thumbnails on the video watch page. In order to solve this issue, we suggest either upgrading to a more recent version of Internet Explorer, or temporarily switching to a different browser. You'll then be able to successfully click thumbnails on the watch page.

- Even though I chose to ignore the "upgrade your browser" messaging, the error message will not go away.
There are two messages which suggest that you upgrade to a more recent version of your browser.
- One error message appears over the video player
- The other message appears on YouTube pages.
If you upgrade your browser to a more recent version of your browser, then the error messages will both disappear.
If you choose to ignore the recommendation to upgrade your browser, the error message over the video player will disappear. The message which appears in a banner on YouTube pages, however, will not disappear. This banner messaging will remain on YouTube pages as a reminder to you to upgrade your browser. Every few weeks, the message on the video player will appear again as an extra reminder to upgrade to a more recent version of your browser.
In summary: there are two error messages. Both will disappear if you upgrade to a more recent version of your browser.

Please make sure all the videos in your playlist reach the end completely for them to autoplay sequentially.
Also, a playlist may skip videos if it contains private videos or videos that were removed from YouTube. You may want to consider removing unavailable content from your playlist.

If the site's not allowing you to comment on a video, it may be because you're attempting to enter HTML, a URL, or special characters. Please keep in mind that YouTube doesn't allow any of those within comments. It's also possible that you've been blocked from commenting on that video or that the user has set their comments to appear once they've approved them.

If you like B movies at all, you'll fall in LOVE with this movie!
I had low expectations of this movie. I knew it'd be a B movie. I thought it would be cheesy and fun to watch, yet still make me cringe at times. There are no cringing moments; this is spectacular cinema! As mentioned in the movie's description, this is done with all sign language. There are no speaking actors, yet the hearing viewer isn't lost because there are voice overs. I was shocked at the attention to detail. There are great camera angles, a good plot, interesting characters, and just a lot of plain old good times! This is a twist on the classic Dracula films that works so well. It has all the shock value and drama needed to make it the classic B, as well as the cheese factor that makes you fall in love with it. I adore this movie, and am so grateful to a friend for giving it me. I've never seen anything like it, and apparently never will again, being as it currently is the first and only deaf based movie. The whole movie is an experience that defies description; it's a must see on anyone B movie lovers list!

DEAFULA is by far, the strangest adaptation of Bram Stoker's vampire novel ever! The entire film is in sign language. It rarely plays. When I saw the film at the Museum of Modern Art, the entire audience was dead silent. All I could think was the film-maker's intent. They felt, deaf people need to enjoy movies more, and what's more enjoyable than a vampire movie?

Understand signlaugauge, 21 April 2004
Author: tomsaywer1 from camarillo, Ca Good film that was done in sign, make-up was a downfall to the movie but understandig that this was the directors first film on his own. I can understand some of the mistakes. Visually the movie is shot in black and white giving this picture a classic look. For a fist time film, I have to give this picture a 10 for sheer attempt at something new, since this is the first film ever shot in american sign. The film from I understand is in the New York Film Institute. They reconized this picture as do most of the hearing-impaired culture as the first film in american sign, try to find a copy at SignScopePictures.com, I heard that a 30th annivesary ed. will be comming out later this year or next year.

"...a moment ago, I ordered peanuts.", 20 February 2004
Author: ivanproton from The Truth The first and last film to be shot entirely in sign language, DEAFULA is probably one of the most earth-shattering works of all time. Other IMDB users waste their breath on insults, but I dare you to find a better example of: *a toddler tearing the throat out of a puppy. *a policeman flapping his arms like a bird *hippies stabbing priests *hunchbacks with tin cans for hands *a tiny troll-like policeman that rightfully makes a mockery of all the people of England. ...If you can't enjoy this movie, you are not a human being.
I loved Deafula! This movie was made for Deafies, not the hearing. They do not and cannot understand us! I would rather watch this film (our deaf community film) than any captioned hearing movie. It's old, but for us ... it's a classic. If the hearing don't understand us, they shouldn't discriminate against us with their mocking. The Deaf look at the world in a different way and they should not be ashamed of it. Watching Deafula always makes me feel good, like I belong. When I watch hearing movies, I always feel like I am an outsider watching the hearing world from a distance. I know my Deaf friends feel the same way. True Deaf Classic ... for Deafies Only!!

Surely among the worst vampire films of all time, "Deafula" is of interest mostly as a curio, the first-ever film made for a deaf audience in sign language. Positively dreadful in every way(albeit very watchable for all the wrong reasons), it could only be legitimately enjoyable to an audience both deaf AND blind. The 'story' concerns Deafula, the son of the legendary Dracula(a pretty creepy looking aquiline-featured fellow), at large in urban America. At one point in the movie, a biker and his "broad" are directed by supernatural force to drive over a cliff...when they did, I rather envied them. Their pain was over. Plunging over a cliff beats sitting through 'Deafula' by a long shot. Couldn't subtitles or title cards have been just as effective for this project?
