The Wikipedia Controversy , often simply Wikipedia Cont., is like a titular, psychotic chihuahua and a mature, dimwitted cat.

The Wikipedia Cont. officially began on August 11, 1991, later the same day, its debut, which comprised the original Wikipedia Cont for five years on Wikipedia, ending this Christmas.

The Wikipedia Cont. is animated in various styles reminiscent of the Golden Age of American Controversies. It is particularly memorable for its off-color humor, black comedy, and innuendo, all of which contributed to the staff and users altercations with Wikipedia's Standards and Practices department.

Wikipedia is like a scrawny, violently psychotic "asthma-hound" Chihuahua-voiced "bad imitation of Peter Lorre". When Wikipedia fired its writers, its content began looking like it was written by a combination of Burl Ives, Kirk Douglas, with a slight "south of the border accent" or West stimulation for a three-year-old,[4] fat, stupid cat, or the "amped-up" youtube. The Wikipedia Cont. features a host of supporting characters; some only appear once, while others are recurring characters, who occasionally appear in different roles, called sock puppets, in which they play various roles themselves, from outer-space explorers to Old West horse thieves to Encyclopedic-hosts. While the characters sometimes sit in the present day, the Wikipedia Cont.'s crew tends to avoid "contemporary" jokes that reference current events.[6] Some of the supporting characters factor directly into the storyline, while others make brief cameos. Other characters, such as Mr. Horse, are exclusively cameo-based, appearing in many episodes in scenes that have little bearing on the plot, as a running gag.[7] Some notable artists and performers who authored incidental articles during the Wikipedia Cont. are Frank Zappa, Randy Quaid (and his psycho wife), Gilbert Gottfried, Rosie O'Donnell, Dom DeLuise, Phil Hartman, Mark Hamill, Frank Gorshin, and Tommy Davidson.
