Henry Rollins vs Iggy Pop

From his spoken word tour "Live at the Luna Park". He's explaining in a very funny way that it is impossible to beat the master of rock Iggy Pop.

Iggy Pop: Lindsay Lohan Looks Like Me

Andrew Vaughan

10.10.2010

Talking to Australia’s Triple J Radio, rock and roll legend Iggy Pop let slip that he thinks Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan may have what it takes to play the former Stooge in a movie of his life.

"She looks like me, and she's the only one with enough attitude, too," Pop said. "They could tape her boobs up or something. She's been in jail at the right age and everything, so I thought she could do it."

Elijah Wood had signed on to play Iggy in a now-shelved movie. Jim Jarmusch is also working on a documentary movie on The Stooges. "Jim Jarmusch is in progress making a very artistic documentary about the group,” said the singer. “But you know, I'm not dead yet. When I'm dead then people can do that to me."

A wandering soldier finds a robot head in the post-apocalyptic desert. He brings it back to his girlfriend for use in one of her sculptures. He investigates the origin of the head, and discovers it's from the Mark 13 project, canceled because of unreliability. His girlfriend, nay, society at large become endangered when the robot puts itself back together using the parts she has for her sculptures.

Trivia

Based on a story called "Shok" which appeared in the magazine 2000AD

Goofs

Crew or equipment visible: After Jill attacks it with the buzz-saw, the Mark 13 steps back: if you look closely, you can see the legs of the man underneath the droid suit. The same thing can be seen towards the end as Jill and the robot are entering the bathroom.

Iggy Pop recreates his role in Richard Stanley's Hardware!

It was the movie that stunned audiences, shocked the MPAA and marked the debut of one of the most uncompromising filmmakers in modern horror. Golden Globe® winner Dylan McDermott (The Practice) stars as a post-apocalyptic scavenger who brings home a battered cyborg skull for his metal-sculptor girlfriend.

But this steel scrap contains the brain of the M.A.R.K. 13, the military's most ferocious bio-mechanical combat droid. It is cunning, cruel, and knows how to reassemble itself.

Tonight, it is reborn...and no flesh shall be spared.

Psychomania GROOVIEST ZOMBIE BIKER MOVIE OF THEM ALL!

“THE GROOVIEST ZOMBIE

BIKER MOVIE OF THEM ALL!

Cinesploitation
The cult classic known as ‘the greatest British zombie biker movie ever made’ returns with the ultimate full-throttle restoration: Nicky Henson (Witchfinder General), Beryl Reid (The Beast In The Cellar) and Oscar® winner George Sanders (All About Eve, Village Of The Damned) star in this beloved ‘70s mind-blower about a motorcycle gang who burst from their graves to crush a world of psychedelic hippie pleasures under the wheels of black leather occult mayhem. You’ve got to believe it’s come back: Psychomania – from veteran horror director Don Sharp (Kiss Of The Vampire), the blacklisted Hollywood screenwriters of Horror Express, and featuring some of the wildest cycle stunts of the decade – has now been restored from the only uncut 35mm print in existence and packed with new Bonus Features produced exclusively for this edition.

LEMMY RIDES FREE, IF YOU SQUEEZE HIS LIZARD

Nothing like a spot of British metal to brighten up a Monday and what better than Motorhead’s awesome 1984 anthem “Killed By Death”? It’s all the more appropriate in that rock God Lemmy is of course a Severin alumni, having recreated his classic turn as the post-apocalyptic cabbie in our Hardware Promo last year, but also because this video seems to have been inspired in no small part by this month’s Severin Special Edition release Psychomania.

  • EXTRAS:
  • Return Of The Living Dead: Interviews with stars Nicky Henson, Mary Larkin, Denis Gilmore, Roy Holder and Rocky Taylor
  • Sound Of Psychomania: Interview with Soundtrack composer John Cameron
  • Riding Free: Interview with Riding Free singer Harvey Andrews
  • • Introduction by Fangoria Editor in Chief Chris Alexander

Le giant Mega GOOGle intro dose! 30000 queries per second

The giant figures in GOOGLE!

Needless to say that Google is the giant world of the Internet! The figures and the results of the U.S. firm is there to confirm. Thanks to recent Google would have generated nearly a billion dollars in mobile advertising for the current year.

Autres produits, autres résultats. Other income, other results. Engine News, Google News generates $ 1 billion monthly visits to the sites listed, plus the 3 digit billions of additional visits via the classic search engine. The difference between Facebook and Twitter

La différence entre Facebook et Twitter Gizmodo.fr The difference between Facebook and Twitter Gizmodo.fr

There are of course many superficial differences between Facebook and Twitter .

Mais voici la seule distinction qui compte vraiment: But here's the only distinction that really matters:

For myopes and hermetic language of Shakespeare, the legend says:

Twitter makes me like people I have ever encountered and Facebook makes me hate people I know in real life.

Before you shrug, reread the sentence more slowly.

Il aurait presque pu ajouter: It would almost have added:

L'un et l'autre me font me détester moi-même un peu plus chaque jour. One and one make me hate myself a little more each day.

N'est pas Justin Bieber qui veut. Not Justin Bieber wants. Combien de fois faudra-t-il vous le répéter? How many times will you repeat it? [ YouFail via The Next Web ] [ YouFail via The Next Web ]

Facebook Spam

  • Soviet Collapse - naaah. Nobody with the western set of mind can even come close to understanding the real reasons. To begin with, the real question is not why Soviet Union collapsed. The real question is how the hell it survived for 70+ years.

  • Perhaps. But the author of the paper certainly has some insight:

"Yegor Gaidar is director of the Institute for Economies in Transition in Moscow. Between 1991 and 1994, he was acting prime minister of Russia, minister of economy, and first deputy prime minister. Between 1993 and 2003, Gaidar was a founder and a co-chairman of the Russia's Choice and the Union of Rightist Forces Parties, and a deputy of the State Duma. "
