Tampa, Florida – A former Tampa teacher, accused twice before of having sex with students, received no bond from a judge Tuesday morning.
Stephanie Ragusa, 29, was arrested again Monday.
Monday, investigators say Ragusa was caught in the act with a boy she was accused of having sex with before. She is charged with two counts of unlawful sex with a minor.
Ragusa was previously arrested on March 13 on charges she had sex with a 14-year-old student she met while she was a teacher at Davidsen Middle School in Tampa. The student told authorities they had sex once at Ragusa’s Carrollwood apartment and twice in her Lexus SUV.
Then, on April 15, Ragusa was arrested for allegedly having sex with another Davidsen Middle School student. The 15-year-old told investigators Ragusa gave him a condom for the sex act, and that through the relationship, the two had engaged in intercourse about 20 times. She was charged with lewd and lascivious battery.
Ragusa was out of jail on bond when the alleged sex act occurred on Monday. Investigators say the victim is one of the students she was accused of having sex with before.
Ragusa is currently being held at the Orient Road Jail without bond. She is expected in court Tuesday morning.
In addition to Davidsen Middle School, Ragusa has also previously worked at Madison Middle School in South Tampa and as a math teacher at Martinez Middle School in Lutz.
