"The Man Who Would Be King"

10-minute interview with Jerry Lee Lewis on closed-circuit feed from Nashville, TN WSM Studio with Tom Snyder, from the September 15, 1981 Tomorrow Show. The first interview "The Killer" did after he almost died in Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis TN, 1981.

What you may not know, is that three years after the Elvis case (watch my video: Elvis - Michael Jackson Fans...) against Dr. "Nick" Nichopoulos by the state of Tennessee and DEA, Dr. George Constantine Nichopoulos, M.D., who was acquitted of all charges in the death of Elvis Presley, but stripped of his license to prescribe narcotics, continued to practice medicine in Memphis (using other doctors to write the prescriptions for the powerful narcotic analgesics, like Methadone, Dilaudid, Demerol, and various Schedule II Amphetamines and Amphetamine compounds, which he continued to administer as favor, in repeated attempts for detoxification [not then or now authorized by the AMA as approved for general physicians] to a few of his more famous patients--the same Schedule II narcotics which had killed Elvis).

You also may not know that Jerry Lee Lewis was almost the second Memphis Rock 'n' Roll Legend, who under Dr. Nick's care...DIED!

He survived to talk about it, and is alive and touring to this day.

Dr. Nick even acted as "Road Manager" for "The Killer," which is how I met him in the late 80s - early 90s.
