There had recently been a Rolling Stone article on him, and he showed me a knife that had been mentioned in the article. This knife folded up into a rectangular case about the size of a credit card. It had been given to him, I believe, by John Steinbeck, Jr. He mused that if you didn’t like your bill at the restaurant, you could casually pull this thing out of your credit card pouch and- poof- you’d have a dead waiter before he could even protest. He also showed me a magazine article on the proposed Biosphere Project in Arizona. This project was to build an enclosed atmosphere, intended to study the possibilities of maintaining life on another planet. Andy decided what kind he wanted to paint in a manner typical for him. He asked Jay to buy some kitchen knives and bring them to the studio. He was living in Andys building at 342 Bowery, near many restaurant supply businesses. Jay brought Andy an assortment of knives and of course, the receipt for them. Andy then took Polaroids of the knives in various combination's and formations. He was also looking around for different types of knives and daggers. We knew our friend Chris Stein (co-founder of the band Blondie) collected knives. It was some of his more exotic and sinister knives that Andy took Polaroids of in many different configurations. After the photography, the editing started. People would assume Andys choice for the paintings would be Chris's group of unusual daggers and handmade knives. Instead he chooses the common object, considered by most of us as nothing special, and elevating it to art. Kitchen knives never looked more interesting or beautiful.Ramones & Chris Stein

Before becoming the most notorious criminal in the 20th century, Charles Manson was known as just another hippie singer/songwriter. The original freak-folk – the Manson family – would sit around and listen to Charlie interpret Revelations, regale them with his philosophy of Helter Skelter, and play his psych-folk guitar music. Manson was taught by a gangster how to play a steel guitar during one of his many prison stints before the Tate-LaBianca murders. Once outside, he felt his playing and songwriting needed to be heard. He fell in with the Beach Boys and Neil Young and even convinced Young and Dennis Wilson to pitch his songs to their record executives. Repeatedly denied recording contracts, Manson unleashed his most vitriolic threats and hatred upon the producers who turned him down. It became clear during the trial that Manson chose the Polanski/Tate house as the primary target because he believed Terry Melcher, the last record exec to refuse to release Manson’s music and previous owner of the home, still lived there. Once the murders happened and the sensational trial began, the Performance label tried cashing in on the publicity, releasing a collection of Manson tunes called LIE: The Love And Terror Cult. Deemed tasteless and of poor quality, the album was not well received. Shortly after, Family Jams, another collection of Manson tunes was recorded and released by un-incarcerated "family" members, allegedly with the goal of using album sales to raise money for his defense.

Like an auto emblem, the title appears against a pink backdrop in gold letters. The title is deliberately misspelled, replacing the three C’s with K’s. KKK stands for Klu Klux Klan; another group of associated with white male togetherness and the word Kommando is derived from Commando, which means members of a trained military unit. In both ways the title suggests togetherness and violence, and also implies a relationship between togetherness of two men with sadomasochism as does the film Fireworks (1947, Kenneth Anger). As far as KKK...KAOS KERAUNOS KYBERNETOS: Liber KKK is the first, complete, systematic magical training programme for some centuries. It is a definitive replacement for the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage, which system has become obsolete due to its monotheist transcendentalism and its dependency on repressive forms of inhibitory gnosis now considered inappropriate [we'll leave it there.]
Two boys are seen checking on a perfect engine, highlighted by stunning orange and pink pastel colors. The darker, Italian-looking boy is in black. The other boy (Sandy Trent) is wearing a white tank top and jeans. An engine roars. 'Kar's' door opens, revealing hot rod's insides and red vinyl seats with white piping. Sandy's muscular body rises between twin dual cam-heads. He rises slowly with his tremendous basket next to the silver engine. With his hands on his hips, the camera closes in on his crotch...implying these two things work in tandem: the car’s engine has ultimate importance to the car and the boy’s crotch has ultimate importance to the boy. While wiping down the car the boy is totally detached from the film as a recognizable figure, only his body is seen and not his face. As the boy is fetishizing the body of the car, Anger is fetishizing the boy as well.
KUSTOM KAR KOMMANDOS is [not surprisingly] something to Drag about, at least, automotively speaking, or the fun-filled, Teensville-take on typical, mid-sixties' pompadoured, powder-puffed, chromed-out Hot Rodders, Ford bargained for.
That which survives is an ode to a young man and his car.
"The All-Chrome Ruby Plush Dream Buggy," is the only filmed segment of a larger work that Anger abandoned because the main actor died in a drag race and funding dried up [this fragment would have formed the nucleus of the sixth of its eight parts].
The Paris Sisters' narcotic purring of "Dream Lover" reach the limit of treacly Top 40 Mannah, like David Lynch on 'Julie Kruise-Kontrol.'
Through this vehicle, 'The Sisters' evoke their Dream Lover, as Crowley may have, Thelema, during his Egyptian honeymoon: an Occult Charioteer with longing and illusory attainment of some unknown ideal.
...In an hallucinatory shot, 'the Maker' [as Anger refers to Sandy Trent in his own notes] regards his reflection narcissistically while this auto erotic shot compares
Kar/Male/Female genitalia, like a game of Dorctor, or more aptly, Mechanic. Most notably and yet still subtly, two chrome-plated engine cylinders literally reflect his groin like huge 'steel balls').
Anger's greased, gliding, camerawork, has the caressing, delicacy of feathered down, commingled with giant, twice-brushed, white-powder-puffed, erotic gusts of incantatory, incarnated spirits!
The camera pans down to the California license plate, KBL 852 [the numbers in the license plate add up to 15... The Devil, from the tarot trump - more about magick significance later]. A gust of wind gently flutters the powder puff as it rises up out of frame. The door opens and Sandy gets in, shoeless, with sky-blue socks; with his legs slightly raised, he pumps the pedals.
He revs the engine, loosens the clutch, and shifts the gears. Seen mostly in profile, Sandy is a remnant of the Dick Dale surf era, with his neat, oiled pompadour. He accomplishes the act of looking pristine without being prissy, a rare accomplishment for a grease monkey. Dreyer says in his essay Underground and After, "The idea of dressing up as the assumption of an identity may be related to Jack Babuscio’s discussion (1977) of the ‘gay sensibility’ which stresses the absolute importance of mastering appearances and assuming identities in a gay life where passing for straight (assuming a straight appearance) is so critical." The car is essential in not only helping to create a couple but also in constructing the identity of the boy taking care of the car; it is his reflection.He is also freshly bathed. The work has been done. He's ready to ride his baby. A human could never compete with the dead, impassive perfection of the car... He smirks a little and blinks a lot.
The campily saturated images and pinky backdrop glows complete the womb-like, sexual imagery by enveloping 'Maker' and 'Kar'. To extend the birthing metaphor, the film ends with revved car and "Maker" appearing in an implosion of pink, azure, and red.
'Maker' and Kar are one.
The final sequence shows 'Maker''s face, serene and impassive [as if directed by unconscious forces], revving the engine again [echoing the film’s beginning sound and reinforcing the idea of coupling, not just in the film’s structure but also because the revving engine reminds the viewer to associate that sound with the two boys together] and driving off, hot-rod engine roaring.

Yes, I'm finishing a film I've already shot. It's a study of animated toys of a rare nature. These are collectibles of early Walt Disney toys. I've always loved Mickey Mouse since I was a little boy and I'm outraged about the current Disney company's attitude to Mickey Mouse. I mean they think they own it but all the children of the world own Mickey Mouse. And I have devised a way to star Mickey Mouse in a film that the current Disney company can't legally object to, by filming an antique toy collection of early Disney toys. And it's just a coincidence all those toys happen to be Mickey Mouse. I'm actually being very respectful of early Mickey Mouse. I hate later Mickey Mouse, because from "Fantasia" on the Disney people decided to humanize the mouse, remove his tail - which is a kind of castration - and turn him into a little boy who is a sort of a goody-two-shoes. And he's no longer the mischievous, sadistic mouse that he was in the beginning. He used to do nasty little tricks like twist the udders of cows and things like that. And that's the only mouse I'm interested in, I mean this kind of demon 'fetish' figure.
A girl sees a rabbit running across a field. Thinking it would make an excellent muff, she pursues it with a knife. It escapes her, but her brother kills it. She slices it open, and out pops an animated idol that, when bothered by insects, turns them into feathers, bottles of ink, and jewels. Thinking of the riches of royalty, the boy and girl put the idol outside in a vat of plum jam and proceed to eviscerate various farm animals to draw hundreds of wasps and flies. The idol complies, and soon they've filled a bedroom with boxes of jewels. Off they go to town to trade the feathers and ink for more jam, but while they're gone, the idol is busy. Here an excerpt from a 1983 WMC-TV 5 Memphis broadcast of Dick William's Magicland. This show is certified by the Guiness Book of World Records to be the longest running magic show on TV. Dick Williams, aka "Mr. Magic" and his assistant (his wife, Virginia) did 1200 original Magicland shows over 23 years, from 1966 until 1989, all at WMC-TV 5 in Memphis, Tennessee. If we were to do it, it would mean rehearsals, a new act, and we've got such a lot on our plate at the moment, it's impossible. For years, all we did was tour and now we've got the opportunity to turn Shepperton into a real working project with films, commercials, video theatres, rehearsal stages, our own production companies and all of that. That's as exciting for me as being on the road. I love playing drums but there is more that I can do. Playing drums got me in the position where I can now do other things but to go on the road again, I don't see it as being viable for quite a while."

In late 1980, Hagen discovered she was pregnant, broke up with the father-to-be Ferdinand Karmelk, and moved to Los Angeles. Her daughter, Cosma Shiva Hagen, was born in Santa Monica on 17 May 1981. In 1982, Hagen released her first English-language album: NunSexMonkRock, a dissonant mix of punk, funk, reggae, and opera. She then went on a world tour with the No Problem Orchestra.
In 1983, she released the album Angstlos and a minor European tour. By this time, The English version of Angstlos, Fearless, generated two major club hits in America, "Zarah" (a cover of the Zarah Leander (#45 USA) song "Ich weiss, es wird einmal ein Wunder geschehen") and the disco/punk/opera song, "New York New York" (#9 USA). From 1984 to 1985, she dated Anthony Kiedis, the lead singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Her 1985 album Nina Hagen In Ekstasy fared less well, but did generate club hits with "Universal Radio" (#39 USA) and a cover of "Spirit In The Sky" and also featured a 1979 recording of her hardcore punk take on Frank Sinatra's My Way, which had been one of her signature live tunes in previous years. Her contract with CBS over, she released the Punk Wedding EP

On estime qu'ils ont vendu plus de 40 millions d'albums à travers le monde, dont 25 millions aux États Unis. Après avoir quitté le groupe London, le bassiste Nikki Sixx rencontre le batteur Tommy Lee (alors batteur du groupe Suite 19). Ils décident de fonder un groupe, et trouvent par le biais d'une petite annonce le guitariste Mick Mars, qui trouvera le nom « Mötley Crüe » (qui signifie littéralement « Équipe bariolée »). Le groupe cherche alors un chanteur, et lorgne sur un ami de lycée de Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, mais ce dernier refuse de quitter son groupe Rockandy, jusqu'à ce que celui-ci se sépare. Les membres de Mötley Crüe décident de le recontacter, et Vince Neil accepte alors de passer l'audition et d'intégrer le groupe. Mercedes "The Recovery" Part 1Mercedes is one of our beautiful models from the Spanish Beauties Section and this is her first DVD. Follow the story of Mercedes who is just home from the hospital after she was involved in a bad car accident on the busy streets of Madrid, Spain. Her Doctor has prescribed bed rest and a cervical brace. The brace is a very restrictive 2-Post Cervical Thoracic Orthosis (CTO). Mercedes hates her new neck brace and cannot wait to be rid of it, but she is not a very good patient. At her 2 week check-up her Doctor discovers she is not healing as fast as he hoped so he instructs her that she will need to be in the brace for another 6 weeks! Mercedes is devastated with the bad news. Back at home, she tries & tries to adjust the brace to make it more comfortable but nothing seems to work so she decides enough is enough and against her Doctors orders; she removes her 2-Poster Brace. Her neck continues to hurt with out the brace so she decides that she should at least put on her soft collar while she is at home resting.Finally, 6 more weeks have gone by and it's time for her next Doctors vist. Mercedes again has not been a very good patient, mostly wearing her soft collar or nothing at all. Only wearing her 2-poster brace a few hours a week. After her Doctor examines her neck and look at the looks at the x-rays, he realizes that she has not been wearing her 2-Poster brace much in the last 8 weeks and her neck has a long way to go before it is healed so he decides to put her into a new neck brace that may be better tolerated. Mercedes is sent home in her new cervical orthosis called a SOMI Brace!! Her Doctor tells Mercedes that she will need to be in her new brace for atleast 6 more weeks and, that under no circumstance is she allowed to remove it. Mercedes is not happy! The restriction of the new SOMI brace makes everything difficult. Finally, after a long conversation with her Doctor, he allows her to remove the chin piece for eating, but only if she wears her soft collar. Unfortunatly for Mercedes, after she gets done eating, she must once again re-attach the uncomfortable chin piece to her SOMI Brace and strap herself back-in, tight and secure! Sweet dreams Mercedes, only 6 more weeks to go!

I was missing my Minnesota snow (not the cold) and hadn't tried dancing straight though a song sooty... I gave it a try. Still getting use to the new room. I really need a bit more space to feel comfortable with some of the spins I like to do, and didn't get all the angles I would have liked to get for the camera but I think it went ok.I'm still working on my strength and flexibility...I can aaalllmmost do the splits again so maybe in the next vid I'll give it a try.

One more thing thats not my hair its a wig. :-)I'm not a child psychologist, but i do know that children (and teenagers), just like adults, appreciate honesty. At first glance, persuading them that pole dancing/fitness is not sleazy but at the same time telling them not to tell their friends may seem contradictory.Pole practice - Walk on the ceiling, pole splits
If your kids start to feel a bit awkward by this or seem to start doubting again about the "sleaziness" of the hobby, you can then explain to them how this hobby is becoming increasingly popular as a sport, and that you all are "ahead of your time" because one day it will be very common among both women and men, and they will be lucky to have started early and have a head start! Show them YouTube videos of Male Chancellor Acts- i've also seen a good couple's one from a circus called something like "vertical tango".It's also quite possible that one day it will be included the Olympic games!
Overall, i think the major point to get across to them is that although poling is a great sport (no different than horizontal bars gymnastics and such), we shouldn't tell too many people about it YET, because it is too new for them to understand it. Try to make them feel special about being a part of something so new that it's kept secret.
This being said, i just want to make clear that i don't think any form of this sport is sleazy- it's an art form no matter what one does with it. And i don't think it's shameful to tell people about it, or for children to tell their friends about it.
My 11 year old twin boys LOVE to climb on the pole and want me to teach them some moves. Two questions. Any suggestions for moves to teach them? How to I tell them not to tell their friends about our hobby, especially after I went to great lengths to teach my boys that it's not sleazy? (the 15 year old still isn't sure, probably because he's aware of the profession). Any thoughts welcome!
What kind of exercises do you guys suggest to prepare someone for pole dancing?
