Beat This: A Hip-Hop History is a "seminal"[1] 1984 documentary film about hip hop culture, directed by Dick Fontaine.[2] The cast includes Afrika Bambaataa, DJ Kool Herc — the film includes footage from Herc's original dance parties — The Cold Crush Brothers, Jazzy Jay, Brim Fuentes, and The Dynamic Rockers,[3] and is narrated by Imhotep Gary Byrd.[1][4]
Originally part of the Arena television series, it was among the first crop of documentaries about hip hop.[3]

So, hooray, for music videos!
An interesting fact is that this blog has had 31,131 hits during this year. That is actually a lot less than the usual flow of hits I receive monthly at my other blog. But I am far from dissapointed about facts like that. This is not about hits.
This is about hits. The visual hits you probably forgot about. The top of the line rock videos that made a scandal. The movin' and groovin' in front of a camera. The visual catastrophes that couldn't be rescued by the mini-skirt clothed go-go dancers. The boogie. The blues. And the blues had a baby and you better know they named it rock and roll. The pure and innocent pop birds. The soundies. The live shows, and all that jazz. The scopitones. The german tv-shows. The punk rock and the old skool hip hop. The songs that Porter Wagoner forgot but turned up as flowers in his shirt years later. The avant garde. The Kim Wilde experience.
The visual guidance you need. Music Video Galore.
31,131 hits in cyber space can't be wrong. Fuck the system!
Stay tuned friends.
